Bootstrap Films provides small slate and is exploring finance for three of its films using a fund. We are looking at different ways to finance film production in Ireland and anchoring these with the Tax Incentives available here, says John Phelan, Bootstrap Films, Managing Director.
The Government announced that the Tax Incentives for Filming in Ireland are being extended to 2015.

BOOTSTRAP FILMS is pleased to announce that Tim Leandro, twice nominated BAFTA nominee, will direct it's UK set comedy feature,"LEMON FRESH". The feature will shoot in the UK and Ireland in 2012. His credit's include, Casualty, The Bill, Byker Grove and Ultimate Force.

Bootstrap Films is pleased to announce that Fiona Glascott has joined the cast of it's Feature Film, To Dream With Open Eyes (Chun Aisling leis na súile Oscailte ) Fiona's Feature Credits include, Chekov's, The Duel, and The Deal with William H. Macy and Meg Ryan. Her Television Credits include, Spooks and A Touch of Frost.

Len is a very talented writer, with a lot of experience in the UK television market with shows like, The Bill, London’s Burning, Ultimate Force, and others.
We just optioned his new feature script, To Dream With Open Eyes, a disturbing story about a young farmer, set in the west of Ireland, to be shot in the Irish and English language.It has been described as the zaniest, most extraordinary story by a leading Irish public broadcaster. Len won the pitch award at 2010 Galway Film Fleadh. Len will direct.
We have also optioned, Lemon Fresh, by Len Collin, a black comedy set in the UK. Len is a very talented and gifted writer and we are delighted to be working with him.
Bootstrap Films, was delighted to receive the Best Music Score (Joe Conlan) and the Best Director Award (Alan Walsh) at the Underground-Cinema Awards for their Short Film " No Justice". Bootstrap Films is delighted to receive 4 nominations from Underground Cinema for it's short film, No Justice. It's at the cut and thrust of low budget film making . It provides an alternative for all those talented filmmakers who do not get support through the normal channels and we need it to foster and broaden the base of talent in this country, said John Phelan Producer.
"NO JUSTICE" is a short, dark, gritty drama about what happens when an innocent young man, in the wrong place, at the wrong time, gets killed by a drugs gang. What's a Father to do, and how does he live with it ? More importantly, how do we as a society stop it.
